Michelle Williams is a member of Alston and Bird, LLP Health Care Practice Group and she is a regulatory attorney with significant experience in the buying and selling of health care companies. She also advises on full governmental surveys, health care regulatory compliance issues, the Stark Law, the Anti-Kickback law, voluntary disclosures to the government, corporate integrity agreements and qui tam defense. She is former in-house counsel at University Hospitals of Cleveland, the Mt. Sinai Hospital of Cleveland, and has been on-loan counsel to Grady Health System and Emory University Hospital.
She serves as a Commissioner, U.S. Department Health and Human Services, “Advisory Committee on Childhood Vaccines,” (ACCV), which advises the Secretary on the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Fund (2011-2014) and serves as Chair of the ACCV Future Science Work Group Subcommittee.
She is a Board Member and Legal Counsel to Georgia BIO and a current Board Member and Past Chair of the American Red Cross Blood Services, Southern Region Board of Directors.
